Your first 15 minutes

The fastest path from a blank account to a first classified AI system — six short steps, tracked by the onboarding checklist on the dashboard.

Updated 15.07.2026

This is the fastest path from a blank account to a first classified AI system. Six short steps — the floating onboarding checklist (bottom-left of the dashboard) ticks itself off as you go, so you always know what's left.

Step 1 — Create your workspace

  1. Go to the sign-in page and choose Create account.
  2. Fill in your full name, a work email, a password, and your organisation name. The password must meet the strength policy shown as you type.
  3. Tick the box to agree to the Subscription Agreement, DPA, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, then click Create account. (You can also start with Google or SSO using the buttons above the form.)

This creates your organisation and your admin user in one step, on the Free plan. Everything you do from here is isolated to your organisation.

Step 2 — Verify your email

  1. Check your inbox for "Verify your email — Veritome" and click the link. The link is single-use and expires after 24 hours.
  2. On success you land on a confirmation screen — click Sign in.
  3. Lost or expired link? Open the verify-email page, enter your address, and click Send a fresh link. (You'll also see a resend prompt on the login screen if you try to sign in before verifying.)

Step 3 — Complete your organisation profile

Some documents (the Declaration of Conformity, the Annex VIII registration sheet) pull directly from your org details, so fill these in early.

  1. Go to Settings → Organisation profile.
  2. At minimum, set your contact email and country (EU member state) — these two are what mark the profile complete.
  3. While you're there, add your organisation type, legal entity form, registration number, website, and size (per EU Rec. 2003/361). These flow into your regulator-facing paperwork later.

Step 4 — Work the onboarding checklist

Back on the Dashboard, a first-run welcome tour opens once (re-openable any time via Replay tour in the header). Below it, a small "Get started with Veritome" widget floats at the bottom-left with a progress bar and five steps:

  1. Verify your email
  2. Complete organisation profile
  3. Add your first AI system
  4. Classify a system
  5. Complete an obligation

Click any step to jump to the right screen. You can minimise it to a pill or Dismiss it entirely — it hides itself automatically once all five are done.

Step 5 — Invite your team

Compliance is a team sport — assign owners so obligations don't stall on one person.

  1. Go to Settings → Members & roles.
  2. Click Invite, then enter the person's email, name, and a role (the default is Compliance officer).
  3. Send the invite. They receive their own sign-in and appear in the members list, ready to be assigned as an obligation owner.

Roles are permission bundles — you can clone and customise them from the Roles sub-tab. This is your workspace's access model, separate from the Act's operator roles (Provider / Deployer / …). See Invite your team and assign owners.

Step 6 — Register your first AI system

  1. Go to AI Systems → Register a system (or use Register a system in the dashboard header).
  2. Describe the system: name, a short purpose, and its domain (hiring, credit, healthcare, …). You can refine details later.
  3. Answer the behavioural flags (workplace AI, chatbot, emotion recognition, generates content, placed under your own name) — these switch obligations on and off, so answer honestly.
  4. Run the classification wizard: Aria proposes a risk tier and your role; you confirm or override. Confirming generates the system's obligations and starts its 6-phase journey.

From here, the Register your first AI system and How classification decides your obligations articles take over.
